Dear valued guests and friends,

We hope this message find you and you loved ones safe and in good health.

There is no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic continues to have a negative impact on the daily life of people in a large number of countries, with economic and social consequences still to be determined.

Tourism is one of the industries that has been impacted the most. Around the globe, governments did impose travel restrictions to limit the spread of the virus, uncertainty reached its peak, and demand for international holiday trips has been extremely reduced. Our hotel could not be an exception, and as a result the number of our bookings remained very low.

Despite the low number of bookings, during the last month, our teams have been working hard preparing the implementation of health and safety protocols. At the same time, we have been closely monitoring sales and market trends, looking forward to a shift in demand. Until today, signs of sales recovery are still very weak, and uncertainty about international travel in key markets is still evident. Our teams have evaluated several operational alternatives in an effort to offer to our guests an experience resembling the Elysium as everyone knows it and expects it. Unfortunately, such low occupancies do not enable us to offer the range and the quality of service for which our hotel is renowned and awarded. We never compromised in delivering excellent service and we have decided not to do so also this time.

As a result, we regret to inform you that the Elysium Resort & Spa will not operate during the 2020 season. We do understand that such a decision is unpleasant for many of you who have planned your holidays with us. We would like to assure you that it is equally unpleasant for us. Sincerely, we would love to be in a position to host you and offer you a memorable holiday experience.

We would like to thank all of you for choosing Elysium Resort & Spa for your holiday this year. But more than that, we feel obliged to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that such a decision causes to your holiday plans. We would like to assure you that in 2021 we will welcome you with the same service quality you are used to receiving from our hotel. Till then please stay safe and keep strong to overcome this very difficult period.

In case you have a direct reservation with our hotel (via our website, telephone, or email), or a reservation through an Online Travel Agent for which a prepayment to our hotel has been made, kindly please contact our reservations department at For reservations made through a tour operator or a travel agent please contact them directly to examine alternative options.

Thank you for your understanding.

Yours Faithfully,

Thanasis Tougounzoglou
